Let’s make watercolor labels!

September 30, 2013

Remember that mama butter I made last week? Remember those labels? Well today, I’m showing you how to make them! They’re so simple and so beautiful. All you do is lightly brush or splatter your watercolor of choice onto printable labels (I prefer these from Paper Source), let them dry completely, and print away! Get creative with your brush strokes and the paint to water ratio to create pretty ombres (just a little bit of watercolor goes a long way). These labels can be used for everything from organization to party favors. I hope you’ll make them! -xo

These are just perfect especially because I’m making some homemade jam and my jar could use a little touch like this! Thanks!

      Hi there,

I get my jars from the grocery store or Target usually. You’ll find them in the canning sections along with gelatins and pectins. If I’m looking for a specific size or a specialty jar, I’ll sometimes go to restaurant supply stores. Shops like World Market and Sur la Table always have cute options as well. Hope this helps! -Paola
