Last week, my husband sent me a link to this cartoon by Rupert Fawcett in an email with the subject line ” Ha! You and Diamond”. As soon as I clicked the link, I began to laugh out loud. It couldn’t be more true! This is my life on a daily basis. I thought it would be funny to recreate the comic so I simply took a seat in our living room and asked Evan to standby with the camera. Within a few seconds, there was Diamond making herself comfy in the tiniest of free space on my chair. So predictable!

So tell me, is this your life too? Does your dog invade your personal space like Diamond does? I’d love to hear your doggy (or kitty) stories!

p.s. see more of Rupert Fawcett’s hilarious dog comics on his Facebook page.

My dog loves to get into the chair with me, or sit on my bed if I’m there. She won’t get up on the chair without an invitation, though, so she just sits there and stares up with those little puppy eyes until you take notice.

    That is SO funny. :)

So funny Allison, Diamond actually does the invitation only thing once in a while too, but mostly when we’re on the couch. If I’m in the side chair, she jumps right on up. And she only does that to me, she knows Evan won’t have any of it ;)

Sometime I’ll bring in an outdoor kitten and snuggle it and then the little kitten has to stretch across my chest and push his feet into my face and starts “playing the piano” and digs his little claws into my face and if I so much as breathe wrong he gets upset me.

Haha that is too cute! My dog does the same but he’s a little guy. Your dog is bigger so it looks ever funnier when he tries to get in that tiny but of space.

Yes! Especially when it’s time to go outside or when he thinks we’re hiding food from him.

AHHH! My dog does the SAME EXACT thing to me. But luckily she is a Chihuahua so her space pretty minimal. But she also does find away to get in even the smallest nooks and crannies.

This made me laugh! Same thing happens to me. We have a 110lb. lab/dane mix!! He must think he’s chihuahua size. Nice blog you have here. :)

Before I read the text, I tried to figure out which one came first: the real life situation or the cartoon! This is really awesome!
My 8 kilos cat is also ‘as snug as a bug in a rug’ on my papers everytime I need to study :)))
