On a beach in Hawaii

October 1, 2012

Before we’re too deep into Autumn, I wanted to share with you another one of our summer vacays. Evan’s parents were kind enough to give us a week at their timeshare in Kauai, so we packed our bags and off we went. It’s amazing what a week in paradise can do for a soul. We kept work stuff back on the mainland, kept our iphones at bay (well, mostly) and simply enjoyed ourselves. We gorged on poke, hiked to Sleeping Giant, swam in Queen’s Bath, and watched the sunset every evening. It was simply perfect. Wish I was back there right now. Here are a few photos from our beachy getaway. Enjoy!

Gorgeous! My husband and I try to make it to Hawaii once a year, we still haven’t made it to Kauai yet. I’m dying to go!!!

I’ve been to Kauai twice now and I’ve loved it both times. It’s a bit sleepier and less touristy than Oahu (which I absolutely love).

Thank you! I’m so jealous that you live in Oahu, must be so nice!! Kauai was amazing, you should definitely visit. And, oh that poke!!! I miss it the most, I think :)

Ahh this looks so cool! I especially love the feet in sand shot. I adore walking around barefoot.

Alli, that’s one of my favorite pictures too. The colors during that sunset were so intense, everything was golden and glowy :)

Thank you for sharing your photos. My husband and I have always dreamed of a vacation on Hawaii. Maybe we’ll plan this trip sooner rather than later!

I don’t know where you are but it’s only about a 5 hour flight form us so it’s a pretty easy vacation to take. It was so fun, I hope you get there soon!
