Happy Weekend + A Change of Plans…

Happy Friday, once again! Time really seems to be going way faster than I’d like. We recently had to make some quick decisions and our time here in NYC has abruptly come to an end, something that we’re very sad about but welcoming with open arms because it means that we’ll be spending a month in the Virginia countryside. To make a long story short, our house swap ends next week but our home in LA is being rented until the end of the year, and the wonderful Williamsburg apartment sublet that we had lined up fell through, leaving us homeless and scrambling to find a new, furnished, short-term lease apartment that’s also in our budget, all within a two-week window…which in NYC is very hard to do. But, it seems that every cloud does have a silver lining. Evan’s parents have a small little cottage in Mt. Jackson, Virginia that only gets used in the summer so they’ve offered it to us for the remainder of our stay which is perfect because we can work remotely. So today is our last Friday, tomorrow is our last Saturday, and so on. We leave Wednesday. Sigh. We’ve had an AMAZING time here. Really, truly, I Love New York! If you’re toying with the idea of moving here for work or play…DO IT! It’s so worth the experience. But with that said, I am looking forward to slowing down for a month in Virginia and heading home to LA at the end of December. I’m so grateful for the incredible adventure we’re having and can’t wait to see what life has in store for us next. Have an awesome weekend! xoxo!

P.S. I have fun, affordable gift ideas lined up all next week. Stay tuned!
